Privacy Policy — Keep PDF - PDF Reader
This document explains what information Keep PDF collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. By installing or using the app you accept the terms described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Scope & Purpose
This policy applies to the Keep PDF mobile application (the “App”) and describes how we handle information collected while you use the App. Our goal is to keep the App useful while respecting your privacy and complying with applicable laws.
2. Information We Receive
We collect only what is necessary to provide the App’s core features.
- Information you provide: If you contact support or send feedback, we may collect your name and email address to respond.
- Device & diagnostic data: Non-identifying device information (device model, OS version, app version, and basic performance logs) to help troubleshoot and improve the App.
- Analytics: Anonymous usage metrics (screens visited, feature usage) collected through analytics services to measure and improve feature performance.
3. App Permissions
The App may request permissions required for file management and notifications. Examples include:
- Storage / All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) – required on Android 11+ for full document discovery and management across device folders and removable storage. Used only for locating, previewing and performing permitted actions on document files.
- Notifications – to send non-sensitive alerts such as reminders or app updates.
4. How We Use Data
- Provide and maintain core features (open, preview, rename, delete, share documents).
- Improve and optimize app performance and stability.
- Respond to user requests and support inquiries.
5. Data Storage & Retention
Where possible, data is kept on your device. We do not require account registration. Support messages or feedback you send may be stored on our servers to the extent required for support and legal compliance. We retain such support records only as long as needed to resolve issues or as required by law.
6. Your Rights
You may:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you (where applicable).
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of personal data we control, subject to legal exceptions.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing at any time (e.g., analytics).
